Pettiskirts are derived from line dancing petticoats but now worn as a skirt by little girls, teenagers and even adults. These skirts are the original soft fluffy chiffon ones which bounce up and down as you walk (beware cheap imitations with little fabric and scratchy tulle!). As the skirts are elasticated, they last for ages so are a worthwhile investment.
